Yet I was surprised by the depth of what I discovered about myself during this truffle ceremony. <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the journey I encountered unexpectedly intense resistance, but precisely because of that I gained important insights about myself. The guidance gave me great confidence to fully surrender to the process. <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the days following the ceremony, I noticed how much had been set in motion unconsciously. Old beliefs and emotions came to light, helping me to understand myself better. Especially the realization that I keep myself in the background too often had a great impact. What seems to remain now is an enormous space and freedom to experience my pure self.   <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That process is still going on now, a week later, I notice. Now gratitude prevails and I can see the bad feelings as something old that I had identified with. Some important insights and a primal force have been released, which are greater than my old beliefs and that is so nice!  <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Looking back, I can say that I was never closer to myself than in those hours during my inner journey. It was truly a journey through myself, without time or place, all in one. <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moreover, although the experience was confrontational, I always felt safe and well guided. I can imagine that this form of inner work can also mean a lot to people with emotional blocks or unprocessed experiences. <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For me, this ceremony felt like a gift to myself and I think it made me a better psychiatrist.
