Cosmopolitan Magazine went therapeutic tripping
Special on The Mental Health
Therapeutic tripping offers a safe and guided experience with natural substances such as magic mushrooms and truffles. Under professional guidance, it helps to process deep-seated emotions, limiting beliefs and traumas. It opens the door to greater self-insight, peace and balance.
During these sessions, intentions are consciously worked with so that you take a meaningful journey toward inner healing and personal growth.
Therapeutic tripping takes place in a safe setting and is combined with integration talks. This makes it not only a spiritual, but also an emotionally transformative experience. Discover the power of consciousness expansion for deep transformation of body, mind and spirit.
In the Netherlands, truffle ceremonies may not be called therapy with psychedelics or psychedelic therapy despite promising results in the country or in studies conducted by scientists.

Cosmopolitan Dutch edition
The Dutch edition of Cosmopolitan Magazine, December 2023, wrote extensively about mental health and tripping as therapy.
Several editors and journalists wrote articles about the therapeutic uses of Reiki, cocoa ceremonies and about Truffle-ceremony.com and Alycia-May Tennekes’ experience (and the effects of psychedelics she felt).

Read how Alycia-May Tennekes experienced her inner journey during her truffle trip at Truffle-ceremony.com.
Alycia-May describes a truffle ceremony as a special ritual involving the ingestion of psilocybin-containing truffles. It is a trip for personal growth and self-development where you can set goals and live more consciously in the present.
Cosmopolitan experiences transformation at Truffle-ceremony.com
At Truffle-ceremony.com, we know that personal growth and spiritual development can be unique and profound. That’s why we were particularly pleased to recently welcome a reporter from Cosmopolitan for an exclusive experience. Their goal was to give readers of the popular magazine an honest and detailed look at what a truffle ceremony entails and how it can contribute to mental and emotional well-being.

Really something different from a drug trip
It really is a bit different from a “regular” drug trip says Alycia-May. It is 100% legal and provides a deep and inner journey. Through beautiful mandalas and colorful patterns, she was flooded with memories and accompanying emotions. These were allowed all the space they needed to be healed.
Only at home did she realize how much impact this truffle ceremony had made. The truffle ceremony was much more than an experience; it was a transformation that brought her profound insights and peace.
Arrival and preparation
Upon arrival at our location in Zutphen, the Cosmopolitan journalist was welcomed by our experienced facilitators. The team began with an introduction explaining what to expect.
They also told about the history and purpose of truffle ceremonies. It was important that the guests felt comfortable and safe. This allowed them to fully indulge in the experience.
Prior to the ceremony, the importance of setting intentions was emphasized. The participant was encouraged to think about her personal goals. She was also asked what she hoped to accomplish through this experience. This preparation helped to have a focused and meaningful ceremony.

The ceremony
The ceremony began with a quiet meditation to calm the mind and relax the body. The participant was given ceremonial cocoa. This is a gentle and heart-opening introduction before she took the psilocybin truffles.
This step was crucial to creating a sense of connection and relaxation. This was essential for a successful truffle experience.
The truffles were carefully dosed and taken under the guidance of our supervisor. The supervisor is always available to provide support.
Throughout the ceremony, participants were encouraged to share experiences and were guided by breathing exercises and soft music. This helped maintain a safe and supportive environment.
Integration and aftercare
After the ceremony, there was an extended integration session. The participant was able to discuss her experiences and reflect on what she had learned. This was a crucial part of the ceremony. It helped to integrate the insights gained into daily life.
The facilitators offered advice and support to ensure that the positive effects of the ceremony were permanently integrated.
The use of psychedelics such as truffles, Ayahuasca or mdma therapy for mental symptoms or psychological problems is not without risks, according to Michiel van Elk (Leiden University).
Psychedelics may seem harmless to some, but proper guidance is very important. This is because the effects of mdma are often underestimated. It does not create new connections in the brain like psilocybin in truffles does.
