Psilocybin the active ingredient in truffles

Super powerful and beautiful!

We love that you want to contact us. We are always open to questions, comments, suggestions and feedback. Below are several ways to contact us:The use of psilocybin, a psychedelic from mushrooms and truffles, has received a lot of attention over the past year as a possible treatment for people with depression.

Studies show that a dose of psilocybin, such as 25 mg, can help with treatment-resistant depression and other depressive disorders. The effects of psilocybin vary, with higher doses being able to provide deep insights, but can also cause a bad trip.

The administration of psilocybin is done in familiar settings to reduce depressive symptoms. Research suggests that a well-controlled trip may be more effective than traditional treatments for treatment-resistant depression.

The active ingredient in truffles is Psilocybin, also known as 4-phosphoryloxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine or C12H17N2O4P. It is a hallucinogen from the tryptamine family.

Tryptamine deficiency is suspected to play a role in psychiatric disorders such as depression. This tryptamine is not produced by the human body and for that we will have to get these substances through food.

Did you know that Psilocybin is able to create new connections in the brain?

Ancient indigenous tribes have used truffles and magic mushrooms for thousands of years for rituals, purifications and connections to higher consciousness. Because of this, they were able to open a gateway to other dimensions through the mushrooms and truffles. Thanks in part to these plant medicines, they were able to further explore higher consciousness and the soul.

History of Psilocybin

With the arrival in 1492 of Christopher Columbus and the Church Inquisition (conquest) of South America, the shamans (the medicine men of the indigenous people) were murdered or expelled and all shamanic medicine was declared a heresy. This created

fear of shamanism and it was relegated to the underworld. Because of this fear, it took many years before there was any understanding of these ancient medicinal wisdoms.

In fact, these indigenous tribes have known about the healing properties of truffles and magic mushrooms for millennia. In this, scientists became interested in this substance that has been studied by many scientists since 1955. The beneficial effects of psilocybin are present in about 200 different mushrooms and truffles.

Research on Psilocybin

Recent clinical studies on Psilocybin show that it is harmless to health. Psilocybin’s toxicity is only about 1.5 times that of caffeine. Psilocybin, unlike caffeine, for example, is not addictive , according to the RIVM. It is absorbed through the mucous membranes of the stomach, intestines and mouth.

Effects of Psilocybin

Your brain can also think out-of-the-box under the temporary influence of Psilocybin. After all, they don’t normally do this. Only in creative processes does our brain still think outside the standard paths it normally follows. They no longer follow the beaten pathways that the brain normally follows during the inner journey of a truffle ceremony.

This is because the brain likes patterns so it can work more efficiently. An example of this would be driving on autopilot, for example. After all, you are often not fully aware of all the turns you have taken but rather the dangers you have encountered along the way.

Psilocybin causes these fixed patterns not to be followed for a while, making the new insights possible. This really allows you to step outside yourself for a moment to look at yourself and your behavior from a distance.

The action of truffles and magic mushrooms focuses on the psychedelic plane of the brain, as do LSD, DMT (Ayahuasca) and Mescaline (San Pedro and Peyote cacti). The mind-altering effect allows you as the participant to look at yourself differently with the goal of changing patterns, changing behavior or other desired goal.

Once in the body, psilocybin increases the release of the neurotransmitters serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine, causing the brain to temporarily process emotions, pain perception, appetite, sleep, mood, confidence, memory and orgasm differently. This addresses anxiety, depression, addiction, aggression, poor self-esteem and overtiredness.

People on antidepressants cannot use truffles since the antidepressant is a serotonin reuptake inhibitor. Hence, the antidepressant conflicts with the Psilocybin.

LSD, that's where it started 🙂

Truffles are a hallucinogenic natural substance that allows the participant to perceive the world and memories in a different way, blurring the ego and therefore fear. Concepts such as “time” and “space” usually fall away during the inner journey. DMT, Psilocybin and Mescaline are substances that occur in nature, LSD is the chemical variety that is man-made.

Researcher Albert Hofmann discovered the chemical compound LSD in 1938 with the goal of making it a therapeutic agent. On April 19, 1943, he took the drug himself for the first time resulting in the world’s first LSD trip. In 1966, the drug was placed on the Opium Act and soon banned because of the War on Drugs.

Psychedelic drugs are now widely researched as are the healing and therapeutic effects of LSD.

Half-life / half-life

With the half-life that psilocybin has (2.5 hours), it is among the substances that work out relatively quickly. This means that after two and a half hours, the amount in your body is halved. By comparison, the half-life of caffeine (coffee) is five hours.

Eating some fruit, sweets, bread and soup after the truffle ceremony accelerates the half-life.

The half-life is independent of body structure, speed of digestion, etc.
